Reducing Contact Centre Costs through Workforce Optimisation
Ubertas, in partnership with Hitachi Consulting can now supply the GMT Planet Workforce Management Solution to the UK Police Service through the Buying Solutions framework.
Our GMT Planet solution provides police forces the ability to accurately predict the staff levels required in their contact centres at all times. Armed with this information we can automatically build shift patterns to ensure staff levels in the contact centre are fully optimised. This in turn means that staff costs can be greatly reduced, and the contact centre is always staffed at the right level to best serve the public.
Significant Reduction in Overtime Costs
Already operational and proven in a number of UK police forces, our Workforce Management solution has a solid track record in delivering success to our customers. For instance, at one UK police force the overtime costs were reduced by over 80% following the implementation of our solution.
Reduced Employee Turnover
Our solution also reduces the burden on contact centre supervisors by allowing staff to perform self-service shift requests, along with automatic shift swaps, meaning that as
far as possible employees are far more likely to be able to work the shifts that suit them best without compromising the operation of the contact centre. With staff now better able
to manage their shifts the morale improves and staff attrition rates are reduced.
Reduced Supervisor Overhead
In addition the burden on supervisors for shift scheduling and staff management is significantly reduced meaning that supervisors can take on additional responsibilities, or
over time the ratio of supervisors to staff can be reduced.

With an accurate picture of the overall staff levels needed in the contact centre, resourcing levels required now and in the future can be much more accurately predicted, meaning that forces can make better decisions and also drive cost savings and efficiencies.
